HyperForges was founded in 2018 in Sydney, New South Wales, by a group of friends who were frustrated by the lack of genuinely independent, Australian-focused gaming media. Too many reviews were written by writers who had never experienced the unique challenges of gaming from Australia — the server latency, the delayed release schedules, the regional pricing disparities.
We started as a small blog with three contributors and a shared passion for Counter-Strike and Dark Souls. Eight years later, HyperForges has grown into Australia's most-read independent gaming editorial platform, with a full-time editorial team, a community of over 85,000 registered members, and partnerships with major esports organisations across the ANZ region.
We remain proudly independent. We accept no payments for review scores, maintain strict editorial separation from our advertising team, and always disclose when review copies are provided by publishers.
